237.5
Well, today's the big official side of the blog weigh in. I am, unfortunately but predictably (I'll get into that part later) up .4 pounds from yesterday. I'm also, however, down 2.7 pounds for the week, which to me is a definite win. 2.7 pounds in a week is a strong showing by almost any definition. I've now lost a full 7 pounds since I came back exactly 2 weeks ago, and 40.5 pounds since I began this whole adventure in July.
So, why was it predictable that I was up .4 today? Two reasons. First, I didn't workout last night. Second: I had easy mac in addition to my dinner. At 220 calories, it's not really that bad for you, but the sodium in it is just insane. I've been in the habit of eating relatively low sodium foods of late, so one processed food and I tend to see a big jump. So, it is what it is, and I don't think it's a real gain.
Okay, it's getting late and I've been trying to write this post forever, and just keep filling it with negative nancy stuff. I lost 2.7 pounds this week. That's great! I'm back over the 40 pounds lost mark. That's great too!
So today, no nitpicking. I'm happy with my progress, and that's that.

Congrats on the the 2.7 pound loss!! That is fantastic!! I think you are right, it's not a real gain, and it'll be gone before your next weigh in. The black kitteh and I were CONVINCED that the scale knew when official WI day was, and it would conspire to add pounds to our WI!!! LOL...We could have showed a 2 pound loss for the week, but on WI day, we'd have only lost 1 pound!!! We realize of course, that it was just in our heads, and just the natural ebb and flow of our bodies, but it's always nice to blame the scale...evil little thing that it is! ;)
ReplyDeleteWOW Hadley! 2.7 in a week! WOWOOOWOW :) Great job, and congrats on getting back into the 40lb chunk. I LOVE THE BIG ONES!
ReplyDeleteI bet you'll get that additional 0.4 next week! I was like you, doing daily weigh ins during most of my journey - and it was so great because I almost always saw a loss, and it started to kill me after the last few weeks- and I was more concerned about the volume/weight of my food itself - so I put my scale away a week ago, I haven't brought it back out yet. Just the WiiFit for now. But I'm all about the daily weigh ins, especially when the scale keeps moving!
Once again, great job! :)

Congratulations! Glad you're deciding to enjoy it.. you deserve it! :)
ReplyDelete2.7 pounds in one week is terrific!!! I'm sure the 0.4 is just water retention from the sodium. This is one of the reasons I refuse to weigh every day...too much fluctuation for me!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being over the 40 pound mark!
That a great loss :) That sodium gain you'll have off in no time! Drink lots of water
